Citizens are already leading on climate.
Indigenous peoples protect 80% of the world’s biodiversity. Youth movements are shifting politics across continents. Communities are building energy systems and green infrastructure.
Yet most of this action happens out of sight. COP30 can change that.
“People in the Lead: A Citizens’ Track to Strengthen the Global Climate Regime” is a new policy paper co-authored by Laurence Tubiana (CEO,European Climate Foundation), Rich Wilson (CEO,Iswe Foundation),Reema Patel (Implementation & Research Director,Global Citizens' Assembly), Iñaki Goñi Jerez (Research,Global Citizens' Assembly) and David Levaï (UN Advocacy,Iswe Foundation).
It explores how citizens can have a permanent voice in global climate decisions, giving leaders the mandate to act and building trust for faster, fairer solutions.
